Tussar Silk
Tussar Silk, also known as the kosa silk, is a copper colored coarse silk, obtained from the silkworms Antheraea mylitta & Antheraea proylei. Tussar Silk is famous for its exclusive softness, luster and elegance, and is therefore extensively used for making dresses like sarres, salwar suits, kurtas, shirts and many more apparels. Less lustrous than the mulberry silk, tussar silk fabrics can also be hand-painted, printed, or even embroidered into traditional indian sarees and various other garments.
